By far the best bagels at the shore, light and fluffy with a crispy outside.
Good quick service. Fresh coffee. Clean.
Maidenhead serves the best bagels this side of the Hudson river. A true NY style bagel, big airy with lots of ingredients! If you want a dud piece of dough bagel this is not the place for you! Sandwiches are healthy and wonderful! Breakfast / Lunch or to go for dinner I love their bagels! Make sure you call ahead , because they get crowded when the Prep school is in session and in summer time with the camps.
MoreWe live in the village, a stone's throw from Maidenhead, but happily drive to Pennington Bagel or Bagel Barn because a) they have better bagels and b) they get your order right. We stopped here a few weekends ago and again this morning, willing to accept mediocrity for the sake of convenience. Once again, didn't get the order right (apparently, tomato on my bagel is always too much to ask)... not to mention, the wait was 15-20 minutes for three bagels when maybe 3-4 other customers were being served during that same time period. Maybe this level of quality and service has been acceptable/tolerable over the years, but the village has had some great upgrades recently with Gingered Peach, Starbucks, Lawrenceville Provisions... The bar has been raised.
MoreMaidenhead is usually good! I decided to stop in today for a bagel before work and was served a bagel so hard it was almost impossible to chew. Wondering if it was day old.
MoreNormally, when it's wet & raining or there is heavy snow, one does not want to get out of their cozy space to walk and get anything. Maidenhead was the exception. Even during the worst weather, I was always eager and driven by my love for food to hop out of bed and walk over to this wonderful little bagel shop. I can recite my go to order in my sleep: plain toasted bagel, egg, bacon, cheese & hashbrown. This place was not just amazing because of its amazing bagels but because it was a central location for members of the Lawrenceville community to come together and feel connected...you could just see the smiles and feel the energy of many eager bodies. This place will always have a special place in my heart and although I am saddened to know I do not have time to head over to have one last hurrah, I wish everyone who worked there blessings, along with everyone in the Lawrenceville community who will also miss this amazing little business.
MoreGreat food and service
The bagels in town, big and loaded with toppings. You can get about any kind of sandwich you can imagine. All are fresh and taste good. A reliable go-to when you're hungry and in a hurry.
MoreHands down best bagel in the area, if not the best everything bagel EVER! The store is located across from Lawrenceville Prep and can get quite busy during lunch and on weekends, would highly suggest calling in your order ahead of time to avoid lines. Food is yummy, never had a bad experience here!
MorePretty upset that I paid $5 for a pork roll and cheese on a bagel that had 1 very thin piece of pork roll on it. Prices are way too steep for what you get.
MoreFood was good, service as well. Bagel was not toasted though; did not know I had to ask for a breakfast bagel to be toasted. Friend I was with actually asked for his to be toasted and it was not. Would have given 5 stars otherwise...
MoreDon't be fooled by it's scuzzy appearance. If you like your bagels big, boiled, and coated in toppings, this is your place. (The everything is the best--coated in poppy seed, sesame seed, and garlic/onion, no fennel seed thankfully!)
MoreGreat bagels, breakfast sandwiches and coffee.
Perfect
Preppy bagels. The bagels here are definitely not Orchard Street. They are soft, pretty much rolls in the shape of bagels. Considering that the main clientele is the Lawrenceville prep school across the street, I can see the owners point. That said, this a nice place for a quick lunch if you are in the area. The food is fresh. The kitchen looks clean. The staff is friendly.
MoreWas driving thru the area and went online looking for a bagel shop open into the afternoon. Went in and bought a dozen bagels and while the help was friendly, the bagels were pretty awful. There are many high quality bagel places in central NJ, the are MUCH better than this place. Soggy bagels, maybe as good as supermarket bagels. Save your time and money and buy frozen bagels from your supermarket, their cheaper and no worse than these bagels.
MoreCrazy place. No method to how orders are filled. A person who placed an order 5 orders behind me got things before a guy who placed an order ahead of me. They put half my order chit in the completed box before filling it so I waited 20 minutes fo a simple bagel with cream cheese. The guy ahead of me waited more than half an hour for the final bagel on his order.
MoreGood local spot for a quick breakfast. The bagels are good, but the place could use a remodel.
MoreI am a 30 yr old man with tattoos and I am Very displeased with the service we received. We were straight out told our food would not be made until we paid for it and people before us and after ordered there food and paid when it was done. Because of this it took way longer than needed. They also would not let there “black” employee touch any money. As soon as my partner went to pay with cash the woman jumped up and told her to go make food!! Very disgusted by the (what I believe to be the owners) actions. Asked other customers there if they were treated like this and they said no. Racist and judgmental people. And my sandwich was no better
MoreIt's not North Jersey bagels (crusty on the outside) but it is a tasty selection and better than most in the area.
MoreGood place. A little pricey for a basic breakfast sandwich.
Not from area. Tried udos and here. This place much better. Bagels better. Have seating. Cute elderly couple own it and are very nice and fast. EXACT Opposite experience at udos....
MoreThis place is cute and charming, a no-frills breakfast and lunch spot. Not the best or most food, and the prices are certainly a bit higher than what you'd find elsewhere, but the food is decent and the staff is super friendly.
MoreGreat bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Interior really needs a remodel as there is significant wear and tear everywhere
MoreWay to much cream cheese to the point that it doesn't taste good anymore. AND I LOVE CREAMCHEESE. MY BUTT IS ON FIRE AFTER I EAT HERE.
MoreI wish I could give this place a better rating. Been going there for almost 10 years and the quality of the food and service has gone down significantly. Real shame, since they were fantastic when I first started going there.
MoreExcellent breakfast. Nice atmosphere.
The staff are friendly, all but the bald-headed manager.
The bagels are always fresh and delicious. Lots of coffee choices. They have every imaginable bagel sandwich plus some creative ones invented by staff members. Custom cream cheese if you need something special. Open early, closed by 3. Call ahead and they'll have your order ready.
MoreBest bagels. Large and chewey.
Great bagels, nice and friendly crew. Expect long lines sometimes but worth the wait.
MoreThe people were nice the food was skimpy. Originally asked for an everything bagel with cream cheese - after paying for it and dropping the change as a tip find out no more everything bagels but I can wait they were making more - I didn't have time for that so I said ok I'll change my order to a ham and swiss on a plain bagel. This is what I received for over 8 dollars. The ham was good but the bagel left my jaw sore. Definitely will not be back.
MoreDecent bagels - as far as I know the best in the area.
Descent quality food for the price with a nice atmosphere
Best everything bagel I ever had. Toasted with chicken salad and lettuce. Loved that it felt like family walking in here, all the ladies having a good time working and were all friendly. Definitely recommend.
MoreClassic bagel shop also serving delicious wraps!
Very quirky atmosphere. Food apparently is good though.
These bagels are the best in the area - I don't live in L'ville anymore but whenever I visit I stop in and stock up.
MoreGreat bagels and cream cheese, a bit on the pricey side.
Stopped here during a lunch break at work. I really enjoy the food, there isn't anything on the menu I couldn't see myself ordering. The staff is friendly and quick with service. My only complaint is the place is kinda pricey.
MoreCompletely overpriced and the bagels were terrible.
Best bagel shop in town, hands down! Will miss their warm, delicious bagels & friendly service when they close for good. Field trip to Maidenhead this weekend!
MoreBest Bagels & Food in the Area; Friendly & Reasonable
I love Maidenhead. These are my go-to bagels and the coffee is damn good, too.
Bagels taste a day old and stiff. Very overpriced amd the coffee has a bad taste like if it's sat for too long.
MoreUsually bagels are hot on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Always fresh and dense.
Not a fan of someone texting and serving my food. That's is very unsaintary.
7$ for a wrap with a half of egg and a bite of porkroll.
Bagels are great, service a little slow
Love this local bagel shop. Very friendly staff and great selection of bagels and sandwiches. Only complaints, sometimes quality of sandwiches is inconsistent. Overall it's very clean but last few times I went it was a little smokey. My jacket and hat smelled like the grill ☹, I think grill just needs to be cleaned.
